3c05682a42 Add --add-missing to autogen.sh automake for AUTOMAKE 1.14. 
This creates a totally useless scritp autoconf/compile, but as automake
1.14 insists on it being there we have no choice.  Added autoconf/compile
to .gitignore.

No doubt a bug in AUTOMAKE.  Totally brain dead.  There are AUTOCONF macros
to handle the case of compilers that do not support the -o and -c flags.

3f71a8ff55 New autoconf/automake build system, supersedes old makefile. 
Running autogen.sh will initialize a working directory if autoconf 2.50+ and
automake are installed.

Due to conflicts with glibc header files:
Renamed byteswap.h -> hbyteswp.h
Renamed features.h -> feature.h

Detect presence of linux/if_tun.h, and use IFF_* constants if available.

Check for presence of sqrtl.  It does not exist (for example) on powerpc,
where sizeof(long double) == sizeof(double).
